I had a great respect to this Harvard graduate who has been the finance minister of india during the last term and one previous term. He used to speak sense and his speaches and interviews were never missed whenever i had a chance.

He is presently holding the position of home minister in the Manmohan singh ministry. His recent statement regarding the Mullaperiyar issue was some thing which should not have came from the mouth of a responsible home minister.

Along with the allegations against him in the 2G scam where he is in the verge of a resignation, i feel ashamed of having him as the minister of india.

May be he is elected from a constituency which uses the water from the dam for agriculture and all other needs, he should have seen the issue in a broader perspective.

He had withdrawn his comments the next day itself – but I think its some thing which could have avoided. I am not surprised why Mr Mullapally Ramachandran is helpless in this issue

I feel that the lack of support for congress in TN is a major reason why congress is pimping AIADMK and DMK – If they have balls, they should stick to one stand no matter if they stay in the tenure or not ( I do not feel congress will be back in power next time… and there are chances that BJP will open an account in Kerala )
