ubuntu upgrade :)
wow, that was cool… infact very seamless..
As promised, ubuntu 9.10 was released on October 29th itself. And I upgraded to it online .. 
. I used their how to upgrade link to get that done.
This release gains much importance as Windows 7 was also released recently. Ubuntu is capable of providing much threat to windows as a desktop Operating system.
In the recovery more i’m not seeing the fix x-server and FSCK sections …
Pros
- Its so nice, good graphics and all
- KDE is super
- New pidgin is also good
- The widgets and plasma and the compiz is nice
- more importantly, virus free
- You dont need to mount USB / DVD , it’ll get picked up automatically
- The upgrade / install / remove program ( Adept ) method is so user friendly
Cons
- I have felt that the boot time has increased a bit in 9.10
- Having two boot splash screens is confusing
- I have had firefox crashed a few times :-
Overall its the best OS , far more better than windows and above all FREE …. !!!
